Properties:petroleum Coke, black or dark grey, is a kind of hard solid petroleum products with metal-like graze, the main contents of which is hydrocarbon with carbon contents of about 90%-97%, hydrogen contents of about 1.5%-8% and some other heavy metal compounds. Petroleum Coke is the by-product of producing light distillate oil by raw oil in delayed coking plant cracking under high temperature, the output of which is about 25%-30% of raw oil.
Use:Petroleum Coke can roughly be divided into four kinds according to the appearance, Needle Coke, Sponge Coke, Shot Coke and Powder Coke. And according to the contents of sulphur, it can also be divided into two kinds, High-Sulphur Coke, which is mained used as fuel in cement factories and power plants, and Low-Sulphur Coke, the high quality ones (with sulphur contents less than 0.5%) of which are used for producing Graphite Electrodes and Carbon Additives, the common quality ones of which are used to produce Pre-baking Anode.
